Will make our life easy if in future you select image and with right you have the option;
Match colors
So the software adjusts your color bar with colors of the image.

If I understand you correctly, you want to add the colour of image to the Colourway.

My workaround steps are:
  1. Select the object (image),
  2. Click on Colour Matching Method icon
  3. Make sure Add bitmap colours to palette option is selected as below
  4. Click on Smart Design icon
  5. (you should see new colours from the image being added to Colourway.)
    You can then delete all the auto-digitising from Colour-Object List

I do it today using instant smart design
after I click to resume colors.
But it take around 3 to 4 steps, I think it can be made simple in 1 step.

the reason I suggest Smart Design instead of Instant Smart Design is that you can set the number of colours you want (out of the image), as well as removing unwanted colours or combine very similar colours.
(We all know the images we receive aren't perfect in most cases.)
