Is there a way to adjust the number of points when using the Star Tool?

I am drawing a blank on how to do this.

I'd like to recreate the pink candlewick dots in this purchased DST file so they are less dense (without using the motif run / candlewick tool).

How do you adjust the number of points on a star when using the star tool?

The manual appears to show different number of points, but I can't figure out how to do it.

I've played around & changed the fill type, which made interesting designs, but it's not what I had in mind. Also, since changing the fill type, the "undo" command doesn't revert the object back to a star.

What am I missing?

Well, you change it under Fills.

You don't specify the number of points on a star, but you specify the distance between the points, which will get you there.
