HI
Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong before I go mad

I have digitised a full alphabet using font creator and all of the uppercase letters are fantastic.... but.... the lower case ones like a, c, e etc are all far too big. I have resized them but they always come out this way. I have used the reference height tool and still they are too big.

On the screen that I have digitised them on they look great but as soon as I try to import them from the Lettering screen they change size.

Please help

Many thanks :)

Hi Debbie,

When you pack your fonts, you need to use the same height reference for all your characters. Essentially, you plot the height to be the height of your capital letter. You also start the letter at the same baseline as well, which is usually at the bottom of a capital letter. Let me explain in this graphic:

As you can see, I created an A, e and j.

In all cases. I created my height reference the same for each character.

That way the 'e' is only half the size of the capital, and the 'j' falls below the baseline, as it should.

Also, check our our Product Blog post on creating your own font also: productblog.wilcom.com/create-your-own-w...t-with-font-creator/

Hope this helps!
