Api 1.4 and Wilcom embridery studio 4.2 compatability was created by Linda
HI,
I've recently upgraded our Wilcom embroidery studio to 4.2, only to discover that the API does not support the new upgrade?!
very disappointed with this, as we rely heavily on the api to communicate with our internal operating system on a daily basis.
I think this was a huge oversight on Wilcoms side not to update the API at the same time. This should have been rolled out together.
We pay a lot of money monthly for the API and the response I have gotten from Wilcom support via email about this issue is to down save any new monograms to version 4, so the API will still work.
I'm sorry, but if this is the case, what was the point on offering an upgrade??? I feel I have wasted my time upgrading to 4.2 and on top of this, we have incurred additional costs from our internal tech person talking to Wilcom support to try and find out why the API stopped working with the new upgrade.
also I now have another step to down save monograms every time a create a new logo, which is at least every 30 minutes.
If i forget to down save, the rest of the company is blind as the API does not work, so I'm sure you can see the dilemma Wilcom has created by not rolling out an API upgrade at the same time!
I'm sure we are not the only Wilcom user with this issue?
when will this be resolved?

Hi Linda, my apologies on behalf of WIlcom for this oversight and the impact it is having on your company. The work to create a 4.2 compatible version of the API has commenced but due to a few unexpected issues we are delayed. We will let you know when the updated API is deployed and we will be as quick as we can.
Kind regards, Alex Baburin
