How to digitize a perfect circle was created by Pascale R.
(This may be a duplicate. I had submitted this earlier today, but I don't see it).
Is there a tried & true technique to digitize a perfect circle so it doesn't look like an oval?
I know one needs to adjust the nodes to compensate for the push & pull, but how much does one adjust? Is it better to adjust the ends or the side? Is it trial & error, or does it become instinct with seasoned digitizers?

The best option is to use the Ellipse tool, and hold down the SHIFT key which gives a perfect circle.

I guess Pascale wants to know how much to 'compensate' so the circle stitched out is a perfect circle.
I was going to suggest digitise a circle which is an incy wincy oval , but... how much compensation needed is the main question.
To me, the compensation depends on the fabric, thread, tensions (both top and bobbin), and hooping skill (how firm it was hooped). Hence, to me, the proper compensation (or how "oval") needed require some sort of trial and error.

Thank you guys for the suggestions and the video. I liked Luiz idea of editing the % size to make adjustments! I look forward to giving that a try!

Depend of circle size. For small one I usually do oval and edge underlay( it''s necessary)! Compensation 0.17-0.25. Strong stabilizer during embroidery help a lot.
